Chaque chiffre que nous publions renvoie à une source nommée et à une date.
There are four pages in this section, and they exist because a bus timetable without a source and a date is just a rumour with a nice font. Read them in this order: the methodology tells you where the numbers came from, the known-limits page tells you where they stop being reliable, the changelog tells you what has gone wrong, and the open-data page tells you how to take the result and build something with it.
The whole pipeline, island by island: which operator page each timetable came from, how stop names were matched to OpenStreetMap, and how intermediate times were calculated.
How we get our dataThe page to read before you rely on any time here. No vehicle feed, the interpolation error bound, the validity window, and what we deliberately do not cover at all.
Read the known limitsA dated record of every change to the published datasets, including the two incidents that took an island offline and the fixes that followed them.
See the changelogThe URLs, the licences, and the short list of aggregators we deliberately do not feed. The data is yours to download and build on.
Data licence and URLsEvery published network, the operator that runs it, the page we read, the day we read it and the day we are willing to stand behind it. The last column is not a soft target. When that date passes, the build fails rather than publishing a schedule from last August.

Times come from the operator. Coordinates, road geometry and place names come from OpenStreetMap, which is licensed ODbL 1.0. Fares are curated by hand and checked monthly. The source page is linked from every operator name on this site so you can compare our figure with theirs in one click. If the two disagree, theirs is the authority and we want to know.
Three reasons, in order of weight. First, correctness: a bus timetable is only useful if you know how old it is, and a page that hides its age is a page that has decided to be reassuring rather than helpful. Second, scrutiny: we are a small project making claims about services run by other people, and the only fair way to ask to be believed is to publish the inputs. Third, reuse: the operator's timetable is a public document and the coordinates are open data, so the combined product should be available to anyone who wants to build a better version of what we built.
There is a fourth reason, which is that we have been wrong before and got it wrong in ways that mattered. You cannot ask a site to be accountable for something it has not written down. Everything we have broken is in the changelog, with the date it happened and what we changed.
